Samsung Electronics is rolling out OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to its employees around the world, in one of OpenAI’s largest enterprise AI deployments to date.
What changed
Samsung Electronics is giving its workforce access to ChatGPT Enterprise (a business version of ChatGPT) and Codex (OpenAI’s coding assistant). This means a very large global company is now putting these AI tools directly into the hands of its everyday staff.
Why it matters to you
When one of the world’s biggest companies hands AI tools to its regular employees, it’s a clear signal: knowing how to use AI is becoming a normal, expected work skill, not a special one. You don’t need a technical job to benefit. The same kinds of tools Samsung’s employees are now using are available to individuals, often for free or at a low cost. Getting comfortable with them today means you’re building a skill that more and more workplaces will value.
What you can do now
First, try ChatGPT yourself for a small, real task: drafting an email, summarizing a long document, or asking it to explain something in plain language. Second, if you’re curious about coding, you can explore beginner-friendly AI coding tools to see how they help write or understand simple code. Start small, keep your tasks practical, and learn by doing rather than studying everything at once.
You don’t have to master anything overnight. Treat AI as a helpful assistant for one task at a time, and your confidence will grow naturally.
